Gold Paint Is Back for a Selection of 2021 Dodge Challenger Trims
Dec 05, 2020
Dodge’s 50th Anniversary special editions were so popular, their color is returning for T/A and Hellcat Challenger models.
Thought you missed your chance to own a factory gold-painted Dodge Challenger after all of last year’s 50th Anniversary edition cars sold out? Well, your luck has just turned around. Dodge announced today it’s bringing the Gold Rush exterior color scheme back for 2021 on a selection of Challenger trims.
The company confirmed in a press release Gold Rush will be available on the Challenger T/A, T/A 392, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye models for 2021. It joins Frostbite, Hellraisin, Sinamon Stick, TorRed, F8 Green, and Go Mango in the selection of heritage-inspired paint colors already offered on the Challenger. Dodge says picking the Gold Rush color requires you to also option the satin black painted hood, roof, and decklid.
Previously, Gold Rush was only available on Dodge’s limited-production 50th Anniversary Challengers, none of which were based on the T/A or Hellcat. Only 280 examples exist, making it an exceedingly rare color—until now, that is.
Order books are already open for 2021 model-year Challengers, with first deliveries starting in early 2021. If you thought the Hellcat’s brutish looks and supercharged Hemi weren’t enough to get people’s attention, we bet adding on this gold paint might do the trick.
